Celebrities from the worlds of food and sport will be at the Reaseheath College Family Festival in Nantwich next month.
Demonstrations by celebrity chef Brian Mellor and football freestyler Craig Gorey will feature alongside a classic display by the Pen Llyn team of Lusitano horses.
Award-winning Master Chef of Great Britain Mellor (pictured) has cooked for royalty and celebrities and has overseen dozens of chefs in busy restaurants.
His latest venture is a cookery school in Harthill near Tattenhall, Cheshire.
Gorey, 23, is a professional all-round freestyler whose football displays are designed to be both educational and entertaining.
The Pen Llyn Lusitanos are Portuguese horses trained to perform precise classical movements to music.
The “dancing horses” are ridden by riders in traditional costume led by Janine Pendlebury, who trained in Portugal.
The event, on May 12, will also feature a flying demonstration of birds from the International Centre for Birds of Prey, a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, calf and sheep shows, sheep shearing, a farmers and craft market, horse riding displays, tours of the college’s zoo and a fun dog show.
There will be cheese tasting and gardening demonstrations, a high ropes course and climbing wall, archery and miniature train rides.
Reaseheath students will be raising money for their RAG (raising and giving) appeal in aid of Broughton House, which provides specialist care for ex-service personnel from all areas of HRM forces and of all ages.
The annual festival has been running for over 20 years and attracts thousands of visitors.
Festival organiser Faye Thomson-Butt said: “We have planned an exciting programme and all areas of the college will be open for families to explore.
“We have kept the admission prices the same as for the last couple of years, so the event is really good value. It’s a great opportunity for the public to see Reaseheath at its best.”
