A hairstylist from Nantwich has reached the regional heats of a major contest.
Laura Cassata is one of three stylists from South Cheshire firm TPL to make it through in the Young Talent class of the global Wella Trend Vision awards.
Laura, 25, will be joined by fellow TPL employees Cleo Carlin, 20, from Crewe, and Tammy Murrell, 27, of Alsager.
The Northern regional heats take place in Manchester on May 15.
The competition, now in its 10th year, rewards up and coming stylists and colourists in the industry while providing a platform to encourage creativity and showcase talent.
Laura, Cleo, and Tammy pictured their interpretations of this year’s creative themes – Fusion harmony, Echo emotion and Allegra decadence.
Judges praised the high standard after sifting through thousands of entries to pick just 20 to compete in the category.
TPL managing director Tim Lawton, a former hairdressing tutor, said: “It’s a real coup for TPL Hairdressing to have three entrants among only 20 chosen for this heat.
“I’m always keen to encourage staff to broaden their horizons and take on new challenges, for the benefit of themselves and our clients.
“This is a great result for the girls and I’ll be supporting them all the way. Look out for some of their photographic work in our salon windows this summer.”
Winners of the Northern heat go forward to the National Final in London on October 7. An international final will be staged in Frankfurt.
