Nantwich Players are set to delight audiences with their latest production, “The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery”.
Directed by Jerry Park, this play within a play will have anyone who comes to see it laughing for the entire evening.
The Players portray the story of Farndale Townswomen’s Guild, who have decided to put on an amateur dramatic murder mystery production.
This is a comedy with a truly British sense of humour, where anything that can go wrong on stage seems to happen to the guild.
However, the show must go on, and the guild battles on through the mayhem to complete the show.
This production clearly demonstrates the dedication and discipline that the cast and crew have had to deliver this to the stage.
The cast worked incredibly hard, playing multiple characters with constant changes and a wonderful choreographed routine involving moving chairs.
The five Players who took on these challenging and very funny characters were Helen Gresty, Michelle Boden , Jo Perry, Caroline Buckley Punyer and Anthony Jenkin.
They were all amazing and each one made me and the rest of the audience roar with laughter throughout the evening.
‘The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Murder Mystery’ runs until July 20.
A truly fitting end to a wonderful season at The Players. Here’s to next year.
