Nantwich Town maintained their fine league form with a comfortable 4-0 victory over bottom side Droylsden.
Just short of 300 fans watched the Dabbers ease past their opponents at the Weaver Stadium.
Mercurial winger Max Harrop produced a brilliant strike to send Nantwich Town on their way in a game where Nantwich sometimes struggled to show their superiority.
After two minutes, Aaron Burns fired a powerful cross which in-form striker Ben Deegan flicked expertly past Droyslden keeper Craig Dootson with his back to goal.
Dabbers boss Danny Johnson called his side “sloppy all over” on the 12-minute-mark as they struggled to do the basics well.
Droylsden’s Domaine Rouse stung Jack Cudworth’s palms on 23 minutes as a reminder that the hosts were still in a game.
When it looked like Nantwich would get a penalty on 32 minutes after a Droylsden defender handled, referee Nicholas Barnard pulled it back for an earlier foul.
Harrop lit up a mediocre first half with a stunning left-footed strike from an acute angle on 45 minutes to put the Dabbers 2-0 up at half time.
Star striker Burns made it three on 51 minutes showing his pedigree finding the corner from the edge of the Bloods’ box.
Nantwich substitute Steve Foster brought out the best in Dootson on 66 minutes with a looping header the keeper tipped on to his crossbar.
Burns produced the miss of the season on 71 minutes, hitting a weak shot a yard out with an open goal to aim at.
Foster got his goal on 84 minutes with a placed header from a classy Burns cross making it 4-0.
