A dancer has taken over the South Cheshire dance academy where she was taught as a child almost 15 years ago.
And now Emma Russell is set to relaunch Aspire Dance & Theatre Academy at a new purpose-built premises in Crewe.
Emma, originally from Middlewich, was taught as a youngster at the South Cheshire Ballet and Theatre School.
And after years working as a dancer around the world, she has returned to take over the same school, which is now to be relaunched under its new name.
Emma (pictured) said: “We aim to give students and the children of Crewe and Nantwich a wonderful opportunity to take up a hobby that has many benefits, both for their health and also an interest that they can develop and focus on.”
The new studios, based on Underwood Lane, Crewe, include a main dance studio with fully sprung floor and a second studio for singing and drama lessons.
There are new changing rooms, a student chill out area and comfortable areas for parents to wait and have refreshments.
As well as running the academy, Emma will be the principal dance teacher.
Emma, 24, has been dancing since the age of four and at 16 went to Tiffany Theatre College where she gained teaching qualifications.
She spent several years performing professionally in the UK and abroad before returning to Cheshire and taking on teaching work.
Aspire Dance and Theatre Academy offers students aged two and over dance lessons in ballet, tap, modern, jazz, limbering, street and contemporary as well as lessons in musical theatre, drama and singing.
The new studio will be unveiled at an open day at Underwood Business Park on Friday September 5, between 3pm and 7pm.
The academy currently has around 100 students.
