Staff at two South Cheshire car dealerships are celebrating successes after scooping awards.
Gateway Peugeot in Crewe and Swansway Volkswagen Group, also in Crewe, received national recognition.
Gateway Peugeot has won Peugeot’s Gold Lion award for customer service excellence – given to the top performing dealers in the UK.
It was based on questionnaires from customers buying a car and having servicing or repairs.
Alex Walker, general manager at Gateway Peugeot, was invited to an award ceremony where he met Peugeot UK managing director Stephane Le Guevel.
Alex (pictured, right) said: “It was a huge honour, we are very proud of our customer service and we firmly believe giving people an exceptional experience is key to our continued success.”
Meanwhile, John Smyth director of family-owned Swansway Group, won the highest individual global award from car giant Volkswagen.
John has been awarded the Volkswagen Diamond Pin for services to the brand.
It recognises outstanding contributions to Volkswagen for loyalty, franchise standards and customer service. Only two people from Volkswagen UK win each year.
John was presented with the prestigious award at a ceremony at the manufacturer’s global factory in Wolfsburg, Germany.
He was joined by his wife and award winners from all over the world.
“It’s a huge honour,” said John.
“The job brings its own rewards but we believe being surrounded by a dedicated and friendly team makes the job more enjoyable and ultimately more successful.”
Earlier this year, the business was awarded the South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce Employer of
the Year Award for the second year running.
