kittens at RSPCA Stapeley Grange centre in Nantwich

A charity car boot sale will be held on August 15 to raise money for RSPCA Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre & Cattery.

The event is being held at the centre in London Road, Nantwich, from 11am to 3pm.

Lee Stewart, manager at the centre, said: “It is the first time the centre has done something like this and as car boot sales are getting increasingly popular each year, we thought we would give it a go.

“We receive great support from the local community at our events.

“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helps out. We couldn’t be more grateful for your support.”

The cost for car sellers is £6, and costs for transit vans are £10 (private) or £15 (commercial). Pedestrian entry is £1.

Money raised from entry fees, refreshments and raffles on the day will contribute to care and welfare of animals at Stapeley Grange.

The centre currently has more than 1,200 animals in care.

The Cattery will also be open. Those who go along may also consider adopting a cat or kitten who are all are looking for their ‘forever home’.

The centre is also holding its Wildlife Club during school summer holidays, which aims to teach children about wildlife and the environment through fun games and activities.

The sessions are being held from August 3-7, 1pm to 3pm, each day.

The cost per session is £5, or £20 for five sessions.

These summer activities are an extension of the centre’s regular monthly Wildlife Club sessions that run every last Saturday of the month.
