Nantwich indoor swimming pool is set to close for five weeks to undergo essential repairs.
The facility, which has attracted more than 100,000 visits since May 2016, is to undergo a significant refurbishment to improve its condition.
Funding has been agreed by Cheshire East Council and Everybody Sport and Recreation for the work.
It means it will be closed temporarily from Monday November 14 until Monday December 19.
Paul Winrow, director of sport and operations, said: “This will be the second major investment into Nantwich Swimming Pool in the last 10 years and we are looking forward to the improvements on the indoor pools.
“We are working closely with Cheshire East Council to reinvest in our facilities to improve the experience for our customers.
“And we will be accommodating users from Nantwich Pool at other Everybody Swimming Pools where possible during the refurbishment period.”
Work will include a replacement of existing decaying wooden ceilings, replacement of lighting with economical LED lighting systems, full redecoration, replacement of damaged tiles, refurbishment of changing room lockers and servicing of main pumps.
Nantwich Fitness Suite & Fitness Studio will remain open throughout the works.
Everybody customers will be able to use any Everybody Swimming Pool in Cheshire East during the closure period as part of their membership, including the new Crewe Lifestyle Centre.
