A Nantwich jeweller has been in sparkling form after helping raise more than £4,000 for cancer research – thanks to a diamond raffle!
C H Moody & Son, on Pillory Street, donated a diamond pendant and earrings for a raffle held by Cancer Research UK.
And raffle organisers were staggered when ticket sales helped raise £4,040.
Other local businesses helped out by agreeing to sell tickets to customers.
Christine Woolley, assistant treasurer of the Crewe & Nantwich Cancer Research Committee, said: “Several months ago we were delighted to accept C H Moody & Son’s donation of a diamond pendant and earrings so we could hold a raffle to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
“Tickets have sold really well and the generosity of everyone has been overwhelming.
“The draw was held at C H Moody & Son, in Nantwich, and we are delighted to announce the Diamond Raffle raised a staggering £4,040.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Moody, all those people who sold tickets and to everyone who purchased tickets, too.”
