Nantwich Town have confirmed the signings of attacking midfielder James Lawrie and striker Danny Glover ahead of the 2018/19 season, writes Ryan Batty.
Lawrie and Glover spent last season at Hednesford Town and are the first two signings for Dave Cooke as he looks to bolster the first-team squad after his first season in charge.
Lawrie, who came through the ranks at Port Vale, scored 13 goals for the Pitmen last season and has spent time with AFC Telford United as well as Kidderminster Harriers.
He also made more than 200 appearances for Altrincham between 2011 and 2017.
Additionally, the striker has represented Northern Ireland, earning three caps for his country.
As well as his senior accolades for Northern Ireland, he also appeared at the U17, U19 and U21 level.
Glover also broke through at Vale Park, where he made more than 40 appearances for them before he joined Worcester City in 2010.
After leaving Worcester in 2011, he spent time at Nuneaton before re-joining the Blues.
Following on from his second stint with City, he had spells with Bradford PA, Stockport County, and AFC Telford before joining Hednesford Town, where he scored 27 goals last year.
A Nantwich Town spokesman said they are also hoping to confirm the signing of another forward at the weekend.
