Nantwich Town on-loan goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen has returned to Crewe Alexandra after the League Two side recalled the youngster from his loan spell with the Dabbers.
Jaaskelainen has become a fan favourite at the Weaver Stadium having had three separate loan spells with the club, making 36 appearances and keeping 13 clean sheets.
He has also saved four penalties in his three spells and produced a number of fine performances between the sticks for the club.
On Will’s departure, Nantwich manager Dave Cooke said: “I thought he did really well last year, it was a great experience for him.
“He’s come back this year and I think we can all agree he’s a fans’ favourite, as well as a favourite among the players and management.
“Some of the shots he’s had this time, maybe one or two he’s got no right to get there.
“He keeps improving and there’s no doubt he’s going to have a fantastic career in the Football League.
“We’re all gutted he’s been called back, but hopefully he gets a chance in the team and won’t be sitting on the bench.”
A club spokesman said the Dabbers were now working to bring in a replacement ahead of Saturday’s game with Grantham Town.
