Childminder publishes children’s book in aid of NHS Charities

A South Cheshire childminder has made use of time in lockdown – by writing and publishing a children’s book in aid of charity.

Hannah Malley, 23, has been unable to work due to the pandemic restrictions.

So the Sandbach-based childminder decided to use her spare time to create something positive for children and families.

“I have always wanted to write my own children’s book and now I have!” said Hannah, who has family in Nantwich and Crewe.

“It’s called “Stay At Home Little Rabbit”.

“It’s a colourful picture book aimed at children under eight years old which touches on the pandemic in a gentle and reassuring way to help children realise they aren’t alone during this uncertain time.”

She has pledged to donate 20% profit to NHS Charities and donate copies to the Leighton Hospital children’s ward.

The book is now available on Amazon or locally with the Cheshire Toy Shop.

So far sales have helped to raise well over £200 for the NHS.

“I’m keen to raise more so really want to get the word out there,” added Hannah.
