Four people have been arrested after a brawl between two groups of men in a Nantwich street.
The incident happened on Beam Street shortly after midnight today (August 8).
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the altercation.
Officers say there had been a dispute involving groups of men.
Two men were injured during the incident and they were taken to Leighton Hospital.
The 18-year-old from Sandbach and 17-year-old from Burslem have both since been discharged.
Four people were arrested at the scene in connection with the incident:
• a 17-year-old boy from Crewe arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of Class A and B drugs
• a 18-year-old boy from Crewe arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon
• a 22-year-old man from Shavington arrested on suspicion of affray and assaulting an emergency services worker
• a 17-year-old boy from Holmes Chapel arrested on suspicion of affray
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information which may aid the investigation.
Detectives Sergeant Steven Smith from Crewe Local Policing Unit said: “This incident occurred outside a number of busy pubs and I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what took place to get in touch.
“I’d also like to hear from any taxi drivers, or other motorists, who were driving in the Beam Street area at the time of the incident and thinks they may have dashcam footage which may be relevant to the investigation.
“I would ask anyone with information or footage that may aid the investigation to call us on 101 quoting IML 774470.”

When will the younger generation realise the seriousness of Coronavirus.
It’s all very well cramming into a pub, but what about the consequences of potentially passing on the virus to their families, relativesand work mates.
As found in Preston yesterday, it is the younger generation that are catching and spreading the virus, without thinking about the bigger picture. Look at all the illegal raves, full of younger folk because they think they are immune to the deadly virus. The virus might not affect the younger ones as much but it can have devastating consequences if passed on to others.
The bars need to consider safety over profits. Yes, it has been a difficult time for everybody but surely can people not act more sensibly after a couple of drinks.
Think of your loved ones, think of the emergency services, let’s get through this together safely. Have a good time but be sensible and have a thought about the impact your actions could have on others.
