A community champion in Crewe has been awarded The Cat FM’s “local legend” award for November.
Angela Leighton, the Community Champion at ASDA Crewe, was hailed for her work with local charities and organising vital donations.
The Local Legend Awards recognise individuals and organisations who have gone that extra mile in support of their communities.
Angela received her Cat Cake from sponsor Baked by Gill & certificate from The Cat’s MD Chris Cadman and presenter David Foulkes.
Chris Cadman, Managing Director of The Cat, said: “As the local community radio station we want to recognise the fantastic efforts and contributions made by the phenomenal, caring people in the area to support others less fortunate.
“Angela being the first Cat 107.9 Local Legend will be followed by many other deserving local people and groups who go that extra mile in these difficult and challenging times. Congratulations Angela.”
