A charity golf day is to be held to help Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity’s £1 million MRI scanner appeal for Leighton Hospital.
The event, on September 19, will see golfers are being offered the chance to enjoy a day out at one of Cheshire’s finest venues, Vale Royal Abbey in Whitegate.
It will be the third annual charity golf day since 2012, so far raising nearly £5,000 for the hospital charity.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity raises money to provide enhancements, extra equipment and fund refurbishment projects across Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust facilities like Leighton Hospital.
Laura Riddle, fundraising manager, said: “The event is built around a fun day of golfing at a fantastic venue.
“It’s a great opportunity to dust off your golf clubs, get a team of four together and raise money at the same time.
“Our MRI Scanner Appeal is aiming to raise £1 million to provide a range of benefits to patients including a reduction in failure rates, reduction in MRI wait times, faster scan times, improved patient experience, and an increase in diagnostic accuracy.
“The new scanner could help Leighton Hospital save more lives than ever.”
The event is open to anyyone and costs £250 per team of four or £62.50 per individual, and where possible teams will be made.
The event will also feature refreshments like bacon rolls and coffee along with four competitions with prizes available.
There will be a three-course dinner provided as part of the entry cost with guests welcome at a cost of £35, plus a charity auction and raffle on the night.
