A Wistaston photographer has raised £1,230 for an NHS charity by taking photographs of families outside their home during lockdown.

Steph Longley, owner of ‘SL Photography’, specialises in taking pictures of new-born babies, children, and families, either in people’s homes or on location.

A prostate cancer group which offers support, awareness and prostate specific antigen (PSA) testing for Crewe and Nantwich men has raised almost £2,000 Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity.

The money has been used to buy three specialised phlebotomy chairs, two for the Phlebotomy Service and one for the Imaging Department at Leighton Hospital.

Hit Electronica tribute band Electro 80s has helped raise hundreds of pounds for a dementia appeal at a Nantwich concert.

The group performed at the Studio Nantwich, recreating songs by artists including Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Gary Numan, Kraftwerk, OMD, Spandau Ballet, Tears for Fear, The Human League and Visage.

A South Cheshire man has pushed his 100kg wheelbarrow for 14 miles around Crewe and Nantwich – to raise money for Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity.

Roy Price, aged 50, was joined by friend Ian Jones, 46, from Crewe, who was dressed as a bear and carried a donation bucket.
