Cycling and walking scheme approved by Cheshire East councillors

Plans to improve cycling and walking provision across Cheshire East have been approved by council leadership.

The CEC cabinet today approved the implementation of “Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans” (LCWIPs) — covering Crewe, Congleton, Macclesfield, and Wilmslow.

Free parking plan for Cheshire East towns not ruled out by leaders

A bid to bring free parking to car parks in Nantwich and across Cheshire East as lockdown eases has not been ruled out by council leaders.

Nantwich South and Stapeley Cllr Peter Groves asked a Cabinet meeting today (March 9) if CEC would bring in free parking in May, June, and July to boost the borough’s town centres.
