A South Cheshire charity has issued an appeal for more volunteers to help out those in need.
Emerging Futures (EF), established in 2014, works with homeless people, rough sleepers, offenders, and people with mental health problems or substance dependencies who are at risk of homelessness.
Crewe and Nantwich MP Laura Smith will be available for members of the public to drop in over the next two weeks.
On Friday June 14 there is a Drop-In Surgery at Breeden House in Crewe 1.30pm – 3pm.

Malbank School and Sixth Form College in Nantwich is set to expand to cater for 120 extra students.

Cledford Hall is again being considered as a transit site for gypsies and travellers as Cheshire East Council deals with a rise in illegal encampments.
Cheshire East Council gained planning permission for a transit site at Cledford Hall, in Middlewich, back in 2015 – but that lapsed last year after no work had begun on the site within three years.

A new shopping experience is being launched in Nantwich which will be completely free from single-use-plastic.
The Store, a new grocery outlet, will offer everyday items including fresh produce, toiletries, household products and confectionery, as well as eco-friendly alternatives.
Crewe & Nantwich MP Laura Smith has hit out at the BBC’s plan to scrap the free TV licence for people over 75.
Ms Smith says the proposal would hit up to 5,900 households in her constituency.

Nantwich Town have signed midfielder Will Saxon, who is the second new arrival at the Weaver Stadium this summer.

Thousands of people braved the wind and rain to enjoy the quirky annual Wybunbury Fig Pie Wakes.
The event, organised by the Wybunbury Tower Preservation Trust, dates back at least 200 years though stopped in 1920.
Fire crews tackled a vehicle blaze in Nantwich after a white van crashed through a fence and landed in someone’s front garden.
