Detectives are hunting a gang of men who attacked a man walking his dog in Crewe.
The 38-year-old victim was walking his dog on a path off Doddington Road when a group of males approached him.

A man was held at knifepoint and robbed in Crewe as he unloaded shopping bags from his car, detectives say.
The incident happened as the 38-year-old victim parked his car behind Lina’s Nail Bar on Hungerford Road at around 7.15pm on Friday (December 20).
Thieves swipe Rudolph from Willaston garden
A householder in Willaston is appealing for the return of Rudolph, who was swiped from his garden by thieves.
The light-up Rudolph structure was taken from Andrew Cox’s front garden in Colleys Lane, between midnight and 4pm on Wednesday December 18.

A teenage boy was robbed at knifepoint in broad daylight in Crewe, Cheshire Police said.
Detectives are investigating the incident which happened on Harrison Drive near Dunwoody Way on Thursday (December 19) at around 2.40pm.

UPDATE: Man arrested in connection with theft of charity boxes on Nantwich Road
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of three burglary offences in connection with the theft of charity collection boxes on Nantwich Road in Crewe.
One of the offences was at Butters John Bee Estate Agents, another was at Eric Bailey Butchers on October 27, and a third at Princess Takeaway on October 26.
Shavington pensioner conned out of £10,000 by fraudster posing as police officer
An elderly woman in Shavington fell victim to fraudsters claiming to be Cheshire Police officers and lost £10,000.
The 81-year-old victim received a telephone call from a man who wanted to speak to her in relation to her bank account.
Men raid Nantwich service station and steal ATM cash machine
Two men raided a Nantwich petrol station and escaped with an ATM cash machine, police say.
The men targeted the service station at Wardle on the A51 before heading off in a Land Rover-style vehicle towards Nantwich.
