Nantwich rail passengers and motorists will face delays and disruption this weekend when major railway works are carried out on the Shrewsbury-Crewe line.

Renewal works will be taking place from 1am on Saturday (July 19) to 4am on Monday (July 21).

Nantwich care home rated as “inadequate” is improving, says CQC

A Nantwich care home which was rated ‘inadequate’ and placed into special measures to protect people is now improving, the Care Quality Commission has said.

St Catherine’s Care Home, which provides accommodation and nursing care to older people, some with dementia, was found to have breached the legal regulations in five areas during an earlier inspection by the CQC in October last year.
