Nantwich Town players and staff have marked the 30th anniversary of the tragic death of former star player, Ryan Keen.
On February 6 1994, Ryan died from horrific burns after a prank which went horribly wrong, just hours after scoring the winning goal for the club.

Nantwich Town FC Women beat Stockport County FC Ladies Development 3 – 0 in the Premier Division of the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League at the Swansway Stadium.
It was the team’s first home game of 2024, and goals from Hattie Bourne, Abbie Heywood and Poppy Smith secured a comfortable victory.
Crewe & Nantwich RUFC 1sts suffered a last minute defeat away at league Leaders Birkenhead Park, going down 24-21.
A try from a cross-field kick in the final play of the game saw the hosts snatch victory after they had trailed to Crewe for most of the game.
Betley were missing several key players for their home game against Cooper Buckley and went down 2-6 in the Crewe Regional Sunday League, Premier Division.
Keiron Duckers netted both goals for the home side, with the Cooper Buckley strikes coming from a Luke Gillan hat-trick, Pavel Abramovic, Jason McMullan and Caine Mellor.
