A teenage motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident on the A51 near Alpraham, Nantwich. The 18-year-old, from Alpraham, was airlifted to hospital after the incident near the Travellers Rest pub.
Schools across Nantwich and surrounding villages will be hit by the national teachers strike this week. Several primary schools in the town are having to close some year group classes on Thursday (June 27), while others remain open.

Fire chiefs are probing a blaze which ripped through the roof of a house in Barbridge, Nantwich. Two crews from Nantwich were called to the fire on Old Chester Road, Barbridge, where they found the blaze in the roof space of a detached house.
