A special talk called “Commemorating Battlefields: from Nantwich (1644) to the Great War (1914-18)” takes place on Saturday January 31.
Dr Ian Atherton, Senior Lecturer in History at the University of Keele, will be hosting the talk.

Nantwich Museum welcomes back the popular exhibition, Birds Bees & Butterflies.
The exhibition, which proved a big hit in 2012, celebrates the work of local artist Colleen Parker.
A ‘Murder Mystery’ night is being staged in Nantwich to help raise money for the town mayor’s local charities.
Richmond Village Nantwich will host the murder mystery dinner on Saturday February 28.

It’s been a busy Christmas week for everyone in Crewe and Nantwich – none more so than for the cast and crew of ‘Jack and The Beanstalk’ panto.
The show is currently wowing packed crowds at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe.
Nantwich Civic Hall will again hold a New Year’s Eve Comedy Special for the fourth year running.
Previous years have been sell outs and promoters this year have lured top acts including Justin Moorhouse.
Nantwich Museum has unveiled a programme of events and exhibitions to be held over the festive period.
And it all starts this Saturday December 20 with a concert of carols in the Millennium Gallery performed by Wistaston Singers.
Nantwich Family Films @4 will be holding their final screening of 2014 this weekend – followed by a Christmas carol concert!
This month’s film, held at Nantwich Methodist Church on Hospital Street on Sunday December 21, is the hilarious seasonal screening of “Nativity”.

And on Saturday night I was lucky enough to go to the opening night of “Jack and the Beanstalk” at The Lyceum in Crewe.

The band, celebrating over 40 years in the business, will bring their acclaimed Arena Tour to Nantwich for one night only on Thursday January 29, 2015.
