A children’s hospice charity is calling on all Santas to take a break from toy-making and tackle the Nantwich Santa Dash.
The annual run will take place on Sunday December 16 and will see scores of Santas tackling either a 2.5km or a 5km route.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity is to hold its first ever “Merry Mile” in Queens Park on Saturday December 8.
The one mile sprint, jog or amble will take place at 11am and festive fancy dress is a must.

The festive season began in Crewe with the town’s Lumen Christmas Lights switch-on and a winter fairy story projected onto Municipal Building.
The event featured a lantern parade led by Spark! – a street show with drumming and dancing to a kaleidoscopic lighting design – from Lyceum Square to Memorial Square.

There was a fantastic atmosphere at the Lyceum when local group, Curtain Call Productions presented their latest show, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Directed and choreographed by Joel Montague, the show was bursting with energy and was a joy to watch.
