Barony skate park will reopen, vows Nantwich councillor
A Nantwich Town councillor has pledged to get the Barony skate park re-opened or replaced.
The facility was shut down by Cheshire East Council last week, citing health and safety reasons.
Cheshire East Council is extending its controls on dog fouling, criminal activity and anti-social behaviour for a further three years.
The authority’s cabinet has voted to renew a series of public space protection orders (PSPOs).
Town councillors have backed a Nantwich Civic Hall extension project, despite costs rising by up to £50,000.
And it emerged future plans for the venue could include a first floor extension to house the town’s library and museum.
Members of Rotary Club of Crewe and Nantwich Weaver joined with Mayor of Crewe and members of the Railway Cottages Residents Association for a major clean-up operation.
