A long-awaited development that will transform a busy part of Nantwich has been given the green light from councillors – despite some concerns over flood risk.
At Wednesday’s meeting, Cheshire East Council’s southern planning committee voted to approve plans for 31 apartments plus a hotel, restaurants and shops at the former gasworks off Welsh Row.
Santas from across Cheshire will be donning their coats, hats and boots for the annual Nantwich Santa Dash in aid of charity.
This year’s event is on Sunday December 15 and will help raise thousands of pounds for Hope House Children’s Hospice.
