Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting patients, carers and members of the public to stand as a Governor in its upcoming Council of Governor Elections.
The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, has a Council of Governors made up of 29 individuals over four constituencies.

Nantwich Young Farmers have handed over almost £6,000 to charity raised during its popular Panto.
The club’s ‘Puss in Boots’ production at Acton Parish Hall helped them collect £5,980 for two charities, Bloodwise and St Luke’s Hospice.
The “Party in the Lane” event in Stapeley has helped to raise more than £1,300 for St Luke’s Hospice, organisers say.
The event, held on June 9, was held on Wybunbury Lane and saw up to 300 villagers attend.

A Nantwich man and chairman of countryside access group says a “culture change” is needed to slow drivers down on the area’s rural roads.
The Cheshire East countryside access forum wants to see an end to irresponsible driving on narrow country roads – particularly on unmarked roads which are set at the national speed limit.
Ham-fisted highways workers have filled in two potholes in Nantwich – along with most of the drainage covers next to them!
These pictures show how clumsy workers filled in the potholes at the side of a busy Nantwich road, and ended up covering most of the adjacent drainage lids.
