Alisha Evanson is a tumbling gymnast who travelled with Great Britain national squad to compete at the Loule International Cup in Portugal earlier this month.

Former Brine Leas student Bryony Page claimed her second Olympic medal after she won bronze in the women’s trampolining final earlier today (July 30).

Page, who trained at Wingate Centre in Wrenbury as a youngster, was a silver medallist at Rio in 2016.

Nearly 200 residential students at Reaseheath College in Nantwich are looking forward to a healthier future after the college became the first in Cheshire to achieve its Bronze Self Care Award.

The award is part of a programme by NHS South Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to spread the benefits of self care in local communities.

Brine Leas pupils in Nantwich were given a Royal seal of approval for their efforts in the Duke of York’s iDEA scheme.

For the Duke himself flew in to the Audlem Road school to present bronze certificates to around 50 students completing the Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award.

Nantwich floristry students win bronze at RHS Chelsea Flower Show

Floristry students from Reaseheath College in Nantwich proved they are among the nation’s best by winning bronze in the finals of the RHS Chelsea Future Florists with a display inspired by the Royal wedding.

The students, competing at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show, were challenged to create a floral arch for a Spring wedding just days after the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
