Cheshire East Council is to press ahead with plans to close its Westfields headquarters at Sandbach.
The corporate policy committee voted unanimously yesterday (November 30) to close the building to save money.
Family-run Nantwich shop H Clewlow Butchers is to close after almost 100 years, the owners announced today.

Cheshire East will make ‘substantial savings’ by reducing library opening times, but offering more services could see normal hours restored in the future, a councillor said.
The proposal to reduce the opening hours and to close on Saturdays met with an angry response from the public during the consultation period.
