A trust which provides specialised care for adults with learning and physical disabilities in Cheshire East has slammed the funding it receives from the council as “shameful”.

The Rossendale Trust provides supported living care to adults with learning and physical disabilities, in purpose-built apartments and houses.

Cheshire East Council has 75 full time vacancies it is struggling to fill at its Care4CE service provider at a time when pressure is mounting with more people needing care.

The council is ramping up its recruitment efforts but Jill Broomhall, operational director of adult social care at Cheshire East Council, said the private sector was struggling too, with lower paid staff leaving for higher paid jobs in other sectors and managers being head-hunted.

Crewe shoppers and visitors are being ripped off by the Labour run Cheshire East Council on car park charges.

Crewe pays the highest parking fees in Cheshire East but in NINE other towns (Sandbach, Alsager, Middlewich, Handforth, Prestbury, Poynton, Bollington, Disley and Holmes Chapel) motorists pay NOTHING to park.
