Directors of Public Health across Cheshire today appealed to all supermarkets and food/convenience stores to adhere to the COVID secure public health guidance.
Several national supermarkets have confirmed they will be tightening up rules and enforcing face coverings in their stores which is welcomed by directors.
A decision on how this year’s Nantwich Food Festival will be run is likely to be made by Easter, said councillors and organisers.
The popular three-day festival brings tens of thousands of visitors to the town in early September.

The Holly Holy Day annual event normally takes place on the final weekend of January, and is one of the biggest one-day events in the town.

Five per cent of Cheshire East residents have already had their first doses of the Covid-19 vaccination, according to Cheshire East Council leader Sam Corcoran.
In his update on CEC’s standing in the pandemic today (January 15), Cllr Corcoran said the vaccination programme is “going well”.

The Labour leader said today there have been 13,930 confirmed Covid-19 cases in Cheshire East — an increase of 275 from the day before.

It throws up an amazing 93% FALSE positive rate. This means that 93% of the Covid deaths are not Covid deaths at all.
