Britain’s brewers have proclaimed Cheshire’s historic Yew Tree Inn near Nantwich as the top country pub for craft beer.
The pub in Spurstow, is to celebrate the title of UK’s Best Independent Craft Beer Bar from Society of Independent Brewers, with a four-day beer and music festival.
This year’s line-up at the Nantwich Jazz Festival demonstrates the growing diversity of one of the UK’s biggest town events, say promoters.
The festival, now in its 20th year, takes places across the town this Easter between March 24 and 28.

St Mary’s Church in Acton will be staging its Christmas Tree Festival on December 11, 12 and 13.

Visitors to the annual Reaseheath Apple Festival in Nantwich had plenty to get their teeth into.
The free event took place in Reaseheath College’s ‘Crop Shop’ and featured dozens of different varieties of apple.
The Audlem RNLI Festival returns for another year this weekend, hosted by Overwater Marina near Nantwich.
The charity event at the marina, on the Shropshire Union Canal, starts at 6pm on Saturday May 30 and runs all day Sunday (May 31) from 10am.

Hundreds enjoyed the 36th annual ‘Marbury Merry Days’ two-day traditional country fair near Nantwich.
The fair, organised by St Michael & All Angels Parochial Church Council, was held next to the church and Marbury Big Mere, near Wrenbury.

Venues across the town hosted live music of all genres – and the “Saturday on the Square” was packed full of entertainment.

The 19th Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival has kicked off with a rip-roaring first night.

Brit pop giants Dodgy are excited to be performing at the start of the Nantwich Music and Words Festival.
