By Jonathan White Hundreds of villagers gathered for the annual duck and model boat race in Wistaston, near Nantwich. Families crowded on the banks of the Joey the Swan brook for the 18th “Annual Community Duck Race and Children’s Model Boat Race”.
Residents in Wistaston are warning motorists about a large and dangerous pothole on a busy route through the village. These pictures show how the long gaping hole is affecting vehicles along Broughton Lane, towards Church Lane and Joey the Swan.
Vandals who targeted a children’s playground in Wistaston are being hunted by police. The yobs daubed graffiti across play equipment and the floor at Joey the Swan park on Valley Road.
By Jonathan White Visitors to Wistaston are enjoying a splash of colour thanks to a sprinkling of flowerbeds blooming in the village. Designs were made by the Wistaston in Bloom committee of keen gardeners and representatives from Wistaston Parish Council.
