A council-run short-break service for people with learning disabilities has completed its move from Nantwich to Crewe. The Cheshire East Council service, formerly provided at accommodation on Queens Drive, Nantwich, is now open at Lincoln House.
Families of disabled youngsters could be reprieved after their Nantwich short-break facility was earmarked for closure. Users of Queen’s Drive respite home (pictured) were angered at plans to offer an elderly person’s home in Crewe as a replacement.
