Nantwich runners take part in town litter pick

Nantwich Running Club members have taken part in a community litter pick to help keep the town tidy.

More than 30 members took to the streets of Nantwich along some of their favourite running routes including along Welsh Row, River Weaver footpaths and banks and locations on the outskirts of the town.

Pupils in Stapeley were inspired by a book called “Trash” to complete a community litter pick and tidy up their area.

The Pear Tree Primary year 5 youngsters read ‘Trash’ by Andy Mulligan as their class book last term.

Stapeley Action Group stages activity day despite rain

Hardy villagers held an activity day in Nantwich by switching venues to avoid the torrential rain. Scores of families and youngsters attended the Stapeley Playground activity day which was moved inside to the new community hall.
