Fourteen teams battled it out over six rounds of ten questions in the Wistaston Memorial Hall annual quiz for the Fred Lorimer trophy.
The quiz setters were Peter and Christina Wainwright who organised their fifth quiz at the hall on Church Lane in Wistaston.

A fundraising evening of film entertainment by Crewe Movie Makers took place at Wistaston Memorial Hall.
Members of Crewe Movie Makers presented a showreel of 20 individual movies which members had filmed and edited.

The annual Duck and Boat races in Wistaston finally took place after being postponed because it was too wet!
The 21st event took place at the Joey the Swan Recreation Ground, with hundreds of villagers enjoying the spectacle.
Wistaston villagers will pack into Joey the Swan this weekend to enjoy the annual Duck Race.
The event will also feature the popular children’s Model Boat Race and will include charity stalls.

A Queen’s Birthday celebration concert to mark Her Majesty’s 90th birthday took place at Wistaston Memorial Hall.
Crewe Concert Band performed highlights of music from England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Cornwall.
The South Cheshire George Formby Ukulele Society has unveiled its 2016 concert programme.
The society, founded in 1994, performs at the Wistaston Memorial Hall on Church Lane, Wistaston on the fourth Friday of every month.
