Nantwich Concert Band will stage a charity concert in aid of Cancer Research UK next month.
The show, performed alongside Nantwich Young Voices, will take place on Saturday October 7 at St Mary’s Church in Nantwich.
Nantwich Concert Band is to stage a fund-raising quiz night at Nantwich Cricket Club.
The annual event takes place at the Whitehouse Lane venue on September 23.

Past staff and students of a Nantwich school will be meeting up at the school’s summer fair. Millfields Primary School is celebrating its 50th anniversary and is looking for former teachers and pupils to get in contact.
By Jonathan White Hunderds of people enjoyed festive fun at a Santa Dash which brought a splash of red to Nantwich town centre. People dressed as Santa, Mrs Claus, elves, snowmen and even a few Santa dogs for the event to raise money for Hope House Hospice.
Thousands of people packed into the centre of Nantwich to enjoy the traditional Christmas Lights switch on event. Families young and old were entertained by live music, fair rides, a lantern parade, fireworks and Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle!

London 2012 bronze medallist Beth Tweddle will be turning on the Christmas Lights in Nantwich next month, it has emerged. The Bunbury-based Olympic gymnast will be one of the highlights of a packed programme for the December 1 Lights Switch On event.

Nantwich in Bloom is to unveil a unique Flaming Floral Beacon as part of the town’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The floral tribute will be placed in the bed behind the Cenotaph in Nantwich town square, said Nantwich in Bloom coordinator Doug Butterill.
A Christmas Fayre is being held at Richmond Village Nantwich later this month. The event, on Saturday November 26, will include more than 20 stalls displaying crafts and gifts together with a visit from Father Christmas, courtesy of The Rotary Club of Nantwich.
