Pupils at a Nantwich primary school will no longer have to explain lost or scrunched up letters to mums and dads. Staff at Millfields Primary and Nursery School are ditching the paperwork and embracing technology to talk to parents.
A Nantwich primary school that Ofsted criticised for “weak teaching” four years ago, has shown excellent improvement. Inspectors who visited Millfields Primary School and Nursery stated “weak teaching identified in previous years has been eliminated.”
A plea for help to keep popular Willaston Pre-School in Nantwich open has been a success. The group has now appointed a new chairperson in Pat Harborth, a local Soroptimist member.
Parents in Nantwich are being given a new voice from today with the launch of Ofsted’s Parent View online service. The new online questionnaire will allow parents to give their views on their child’s school at any time of the year. It covers more than 460 schools across Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Halton and Warrington.
