The A530 major route between Nantwich and Middlewich has re-opened after a five-month closure to revamp a railway bridge.
The “Boulderstones” road bridge which spans the railway between Crewe and Chester, had to undergo a major £5.7 million of works to make it safer for road users above and rail passengers below.

The store on Pillory Street, which has undergone an extensive refurbishment, will be back open this Saturday March 12.
Staff at Nantwich’s Oxfam shop were stunned to receive a large donation of Terry Pratchett books – on the day the famous author died.
Store manager Val Richards was sorting through the new collection when news came through of Pratchett’s death.
Building work on the £1.4 million Nantwich swimming pool revamp could be complete in the next couple of weeks. Staff hope all the building work should be over in “two weeks” with only the viewing area (pictured below) still to be completed.
