The £90 million emergency business funding from Government to Cheshire East Council was the 15th largest in England, says the authority.
The authority says the amount demonstrates the “significant contribution” local businesses make to the economy.
Cheshire’s police and crime commissioner has offered funding to organisations that provide services to the police during the Coronavirus crisis.
PCC David Keane said he wants to assure organisations he funds will still receive support as many community organisations and businesses have to pause activities.

Leighton Hospital Prostate Cancer Support Group is returning to Nantwich to run a PSA testing day.
The hall will open from 9.30am until 1pm on Saturday April 13 for men between the ages 45-75 to have a PSA blood test.
