The popular Peacock Railway in Willaston will host its first Public Running Day of 2026 on Sunday April 12.
Operated by the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society, the miniature railway is behind The Peacock Inn on Crewe Road.
Nantwich residents and motorists have faced delays and disruption this weekend due to major railway works on the Shrewsbury-Crewe line.
Track renewal works have meant road and level crossing closures in place from yesterday (July 19) until 4am tomorrow (Monday July 21).

BMXers gathered for breakfast at Crewe Truck Stop Café off Weston Road, near Crewe railway station, for the annual ‘Crewe and Cheshire old school ride out’ event, organised by the ‘Crewe and Cheshire old school BMX club’.

Local rail enthusiasts have been staging popular train rides once more at the Peacock Railway near Nantwich.
The days are organised by the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society and take place on their premises at the rear of The Peacock Inn, on Crewe Road, Willaston.
Members of the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society are back on track after staging their first event since the outbreak of Covid pandemic.
They held a “Track Open Day” on Sunday (August 22) which allowed the first visitors to their site Willaston in 18 months.
Cheshire East residents are being urged to download the new NHS test and trace app.
The NHS Covid-19 contact-tracing app was launched yesterday (September 24).
