Nearly nine in ten of Cheshire’s over-50 population have had their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
New data, from NHS England up to March 21, shows that an average of 87.3% of those in the various age groups from 50 onwards have had their first dose.

There is “a high chance” of a fourth wave of Covid-19 cases in Cheshire East if residents do not follow government guidance.
That’s the warning from CEC Labour leader Sam Corcoran, despite a drop in cases to 51.8 in 100,000 – below the England average of 58.7.

CEC Labour Council Leader Sam Corcoran also admitted there had been “teething problems” at the opening of a mass vaccine centre at Alderley Park.
