Richmond Village Nantwich has said a fond farewell to one of its longest serving members of staff.

Village housekeeper Hannah Barry hung up her dustpan and brush to start her well-earned retirement.

Residents and staff joined together to give Hannah a send-off, where she was presented with a glass vase and St Christopher necklace.

More than £500 was collected and Hannah is hoping to put this towards a trip to Switzerland.

Thanking everyone for the gifts, Hannah said: “I will miss you all.”

Debbie Mercandelli, hospitality manager, added: “We are very sorry to see Hannah go but we all wish her a very happy and long retirement.”
