Crewe & Nantwich RUFC powered to an impressive 44-15 victory away at Ramsey to stay hot on the heels of league leaders Oswestry.
It was a tight affair on the Isle of Man until C&N pulled away in the final quarter of the game with three unanswered tries.
The win leaves the Vagrants club joint top with Oswestry in the South Lancs and Cheshire League 2.
Killian Roche and Toby Ward scored two quick-fire tries in the first period, but the hosts were in touch just 17-15 down when Crewe & Nantwich stepped on the gas.
Two tries by Joe Gammage and one each for Tim Cowap and Tom Baldwin saw the visitors surge clear, assisted by three conversions and a drop goal by Jamie Little.
The 1sts now face a trip to Marple on january 28 in their next league game, and a week later face a crunch match with Oswestry who visit the Vagrants on February 4.
The 2nds battled out a 5-5 draw with West Park SH at the Vagrants, and they are now sixth in University of Salford NWL Division 2 South.
But the 3rds were on the end of a 38-5 hiding away at Bowdon in University of Salford NWL Division 4 South.
They remain in ninth place on 32 points.
