A popular theatre company will be celebrating the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice with a performance in Nantwich.
Chapterhouse Theatre Company will stage their own version of the Austen’s most popular novel in the grounds of Reaseheath College.
The show will take place on Saturday August 10 from 7pm.
The company received rave reviews when they performed Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (pictured) at the same venue last August.
It’s part of a national summer tour by the company which is performing at 100 prestigious venues across the UK, including Chatsworth House and Canary Warf.
A spokeswoman for Chapterhouse said: “This year marks the 200th anniversary of Pride and Prejudice and in celebration of this Chapterhouse are proud to bring back our adaptation of this classic love story, as well as our version of the equally romantic Sense and Sensibility.
“What better way to celebrate the occasion than to revel in Austen’s regency world for the night whilst picnicking with friends?”
