The Nantwich Poets group is to host Joy Winkler’s acclaimed touring drama, TOWN.
The performance will take place at Willaston Social Club on Wednesday September 25 as part of TOWN’s Autumn Tour of the UK.
Joy (pictured) performs TOWN with live music accompaniment composed and played by Andrew Rudd.
Both former Cheshire Poets Laureate, Joy and Andrew toured recently with their groundbreaking shows “Bunch of Fives” and “Fourpenny Circus”.
TOWN is the moving tale of Rosie’s quest to find her birth mother, helped by a stranger and the magic of the town’s festival.
Dragons on bicycles, devils playing guitars and ‘a bit of magic after all these years’ are only part of the glittering backdrop to a story which will warm your heart.
Film backdrop was produced by Ian Coppack and features additional artwork by Carl Longmate and Karen Rossart.
TOWN was directed by Kevin Dyer and supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
The show starts at 7.30pm on September 25 at Willaston Social Club, on Wistaston Road.
Tickets are £5 (£4 concessions).
