Nantwich Museum is to stage a public talk “Who Killed the High Street” this weekend.

Keith Lawrence will be giving the talk which looks at today’s high street and how different it is from the past.

It takes place at the Pillory Street venue at 2.30pm this Saturday September 21.

The talk forms a part of the Nantwich Eats exhibition. Tickets cost £3 (museum members £2) and are available from the museum shop.

The exhibition runs until Saturday October 26, and tells the story of 100 years of food shopping in the town with insights into a constantly changing scene.

Focusing on key dates from 1913, the exhibition illustrates changes in food shopping habits – where people shopped, when, what they bought and how it was bought.
