A charity dinner is to be held in aid of a Crewe & Nantwich RUFC star left in a wheelchair after a horrific accident.
The Sporting Dinner aims to raise funds for Kieran Flynn, who was left paralysed with serious spinal injuries after a freak tackle during a pre season game last summer.
Kieran, 21, spent weeks in hospital after the incident which happened during a game against Christleton.
In October, Nantwichnews revealed how he was given the devastating news by specialists that he was unlikely ever to be able to walk again.
The fly-half, who lives in Nantwich and has played rugby since the age of 8, faces many more months of treatment at Oswestry Hospital, a specialist orthopaedic centre.
The Crewe & Nantwich RUFC Sporting Dinner will be held at Nantwich Civic Hall on April 24, and includes guest speaker former Wales international Scott Quinnell.
Comedian Lea Roberts will also be performing, with tickets priced at £40 a head.
