Dozens of South Cheshire fire fighters battled with this major blaze after a youth centre in Crewe went up in flames.
The blaze broke out in a building on Mirion Street, Crewe.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue advised residents living nearby to stay indoors and close windows due to the amount of smoke and fumes.
They say the building was well alight on arrival of the crews and there is a lot of smoke in the area.
Five fire engines are at the scene and residents in the Queen Street and Henry Street area are being advised to stay indoors.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus have searched the building with a thermal imaging camera.
Police have closed some surrounding roads while the fire is tackled, including Mirion Street and Brierley Street.
