RBS and Co-operative Bank staff in Nantwich are raising thousands of pounds for Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity’s MRI Scanner Appeal.
The Nantwich and Sandbach RBS branches have been running activities to help raise funds for the appeal, including a sponsored walk by staff, families and friends.
And the Congleton branch hosted a range of fundraising events including a Christmas raffle, cake sale, and pub quiz.
Meanwhile, Co-operative bank branches in Nantwich, Crewe, Knutsford, Northwich, Leek, Congleton, Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Buxton, Wrexham and Cheadle all chose to support the MRI Scanner Appeal.
The Crewe Earle Street branch (pictured) held a ‘Doctors & Nurses’ Day which raised £150 in aid of the appeal.
Helen Dunning, at Crewe Co-op, said: “We’re extremely passionate about helping to make a difference, and this year we wanted to support a charity that is for the benefit of the local community.”
They also held a coffee and cake morning, offering customers a cup of coffee and a slice of cake in exchange for a £1 donation.
Laura Riddle, charity manager, said: “I’d like to thankyou to the Co-operative and the RBS branches for selecting Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity as their chosen charity for this year.
“The support we’ve received from the Co-operative Bank and the local community has been fantastic, and we can’t thank them enough for their continued efforts.
“It’s fantastic to see so many people get behind the appeal. And the support we’ve received from the RBS branches and the local community is brilliant.”
Leighton Hospital’s current MRI scanner works to full capacity between 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.
